Compact-Sized Ship Maneuvering Simulator (SMS-EC SERIES)

 

Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.(IHI) has developed this compact-sized ship maneuvering simulator is designed to be used as an educational training facility for the navigation training school, etc. this simulator is designed small to fit in the existing schoolroom, and covers the most function of the full-mission type ship maneuvering simulator.

The purpose of this simulator is that the trainees can carry out nautical training exercises on land efficiently, instead of going out to sea. To achieve this purpose, this simulator is provided with the following characteristics.

 

1. Visual scenes;

Realistic visual scenes, using the advanced Computer Graphics (CG) technology and well examined shore data is presented.

2. Ship's model;

Accurate hydrodynamic mathematical model for ship maneuverability is developed based on the technology of naval architecture.

3. Training Scenarios;

The various effective training scenarios which matches trainee's ability and educational curriculum call be prepared.

4. Radar simulation (option);

Real Radar with ARPA can be connected to this simulator and it can be also used to the Radar simulator.
