WAN HAI 225, the 15th Ship in the Series of 1,000-TEU Container Carrier
The 1,368-TEU container carrier was delivered to Wan Hai Lines Ltd. by Naikai Zosen Corporation in December 9th, 1994.
The ship is the fifteenth ship in the series of 1,000-TEU container ship ordered by Wan Hai Lines Ltd.
Design Features
-The ship is a lift on/lift off cellular type full container ship with the engine room and accommodation located aft.
-The ship is furnished with five container holds equipped with pontoon type steel hatch covers.
-Containers can be stowed in five tiers and eight rows in the holds, and five tiers and eleven rows on the hatch covers and on upper deck in the midship area.
-Total container carrying capacity is 1,368-TEU or 642-FEU+84-TEU including 80-FEU air cooled reefer container on hatch covers.
-The fixed cell guides in the cargo holds are arranged for 40 feet containers, and 20 feet containers are secured by fixed cell guides and removable container securing fittings.
-Dangerous good can only be carried in containers stowed on exposed deck and hatch covers.
-The ship has acquired ABS's + ACCU notation.
