3,802-TEU Container Ship RIVER ELEGANCE
The 3,802-TEU RIVER ELEGANCE, an advanced lift-on/lift-off type container carrier built at Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., Sakaide Works, for Golden Shore Corp., was delivered in September 1994.
Features
1. The ship can load 3,802-TEU containers oil the base of 4 tiers on deck. It is desinged to load 40-feet containers/20-feet containers in 11 rows stacked 8 tiers in holds, and in 13 rows stacked 4 or 5 tiers on deck.
2. The ship can carry 360×20/40- feet refrigerated containers (air cooled) on deck.
3. Dangerous-cargo containers, including explosives, can be loaded in holds.
4. The main engine is the latest fuel-efficient Kawasaki-MAN B & W 10L80MC, and a large diameter propeller is installed for energy saving.
5. The ship is provided with a high-skew propeller and damp tank which allow the ship to navigate very quietly.
