MORNING GLORY? is the second vessel Onomich Dockyard Co., Ltd. has built for Nakata Maritime Corporation.
This standard type Aframax Product Tanker has a double-hull, double-bottom structure that satisfies the requirements of the U.S. Oil Pollution Act of 1990. Cargo space is partitioned into four center and four pairs of cargo oil side tanks and a pair of slop tanks.
Three independent cargo piping lines on the upper deck allow simultaneous loading of cargo oil.
The vessel's advanced safety equipment including a vapor emission control system and an inerting system for water ballast tanks.
With a bulbous bow and a transom stern, the hull offers low resistance and contributes to lower fuel- oil consumption.
The main engine, a low-speed, super-long-stroke diesel driving a large-diameter propeller, provides superior propulsive and energy efficiency.
