problems.
The fourth item is psychosocial care. People with psychosocial problems can also turn to home care organizations.
The fifth product is the district nursing. This is also shown on the video. You will first see an old man that is helped in his daily activities by a district nurse. After that you see young women who has to undergo an operation. Because of the contact between the home care and the hospital care the district nurse can provide information and help the client to prepare for the operation.
The sixth product is about home help which is also shown on the video. Home helpers supply basic help to households when illness, handicap or old age makes it difficult for individuals to cope alone and when informal support by family, friends and neighbours has proven inadequate. The help consists of domestic work and care for family members.
The seventh item is called: specialized home help. It concerns specialized helpers that provide home help in complex situations, for instance when clients with psychological problems are involved. Because it is in some ways similar to the normal home help, I did not pick this item for the video.
Alpha help is the next. I did not choose this one either, because alpha helpers provide domestic work which we have already seen as part of the task of home helpers. The main difference with the home help is that alpha helpers are directly employed by the client. The home care organization merely operates as an intermediary between clients and alpha helpers.
The last two items can be seen on the video. The first one concerns day care for elderly in their own district. Tile government has the policy to keep people at home as long as possible. Day care centres have the same goal. Some old people need to be activated. Other old people are cared for by their husbands or wives. Sometimes this is really hard for the spouse or an other informal carer who provides the necessary care. To lighten their task, these people can stay in
