4. Feature of My Program:
Go Intellect's decision making is based on a knowledge guided selective global search:
Step 1. Understand the current board-compute influences, blocks, chains, and groups.
Step 2. Use special purpose move generators to generate candidate moves with weights.
Step 3. Try out a dozen or so top candidate moves. Go back to step l for each of the new boards generated.
Step 4. The Min-Max back up adjusted by urgencies of candidate moves based on static knowledge is used to select the next move.

It handles noval board configurations gracefully and plays an agressive challenging style of game.

1994 Ing Cup International Computer Go Congress - 1st place.
1995 FOST Cup World Open Championship - 4th place.
1995 Ing Cup International Computer Go Congress - 3rd placc.
1996 FOST Cup World Open Championship - 4th place. (One game, winning by
over 200 points but ruled to a loss because of data communication diffIculty,
droped the program from f1rst place finish to 4th place.)
