THE SCIENCE OF ADULT LEARNING

Abstract: The purpose of this presentation is to explain the science of adult learning. It will focus on the basic theory of how adults learn, and what implications this has for the teaching process. Included will be the unique characteristics of the adult learner and how this transfers over to the development of the appropriate curriculum design that fosters a positive learning environment and effective models of instruction.
