IMPORTANCE OF SYSTEMIC REHABILITATION TO LCCA.
Kunihiro Katayama and Tadasi Uchida (Kohchi Red Cross Hospital, Kohchi, Japan)
Etusi Okumura (Kohchi Gakuen Junior College, Kohchi, Japan)
[Purpose] It was made a comparison between failure case and successful case of LCCA as regard rehabilitation.
[Material] Case 1 was 76 years old female who had disregardful, free will and autonomous practice in her ward only for the space of ten years.
Case 2 was 86 years old female who had serious exercise in trainingroom for ten years.
Case 3 was 74 years old female who make good use of systemic regular daily drill by way of farwork for ten years.
Case 4 was 65 years old male who had been well adapted by suitable and reasonable discipline.
[Result] It judged the effect of rehabilitation of LCCA patient who had full ill for ten years using 4 case. Case 1 had taken a turn for the worse on the sense of balance and ADL in the meantime. Case 2, 3 and 4 had been kept a good effect under the present cumstance by Frenkel gymnastik, weighting the limbs, elastic bandage, PNF and so on. [Conclusion] The continuous or training as above were very importance for output and input to cerebellar system and reticular activating system.

EVALUATION OF EQUILIBRIUM FUNCTION IN SPINOCEREBER DEGENERATION WITH DYNAMIC POSTUROGRAPHY
Yoko Dekura, Hajime Hino, Wataru Onuki, Akira Yamaguchi (National Center Of Neurology and Psychiatry, Tokyo, Japan)
[Purpose] We tried to evaluated the equilibrium function of spinocerebeller degeneration (SCD) with dynamic posturoguraphy.
[Subjects] 15 SCD patients and 9 normal adults.
[Methods] Dynamic posturography (Equitest, NeuroCom) employs a computer controlled, menu-driven movable platform, and visual surround. The patient's body sway is monitoted by pressure sensing straingauges located in the platform with six sensory conditions. (With eyes open and closed, with the platform fixed and moving, with visual surround fixed and moving) The programmed analysis expresses the proportions of influence of each visual, proprioceptive and vestibular system by maximum anterior-posterior sway (MAPS) and strategy of balance when body sway organinates in the ankle's or hip. In addition to this analysis, we calculated LNG, SDA of each trial.
[Results] As each trial becomes more difficult falls increase, MAPS is not suitable to comparison of patients, as LNG and SDA increase in some patients and not in others. When body sway occurs which is beyond the ankle's ability to handle, some patient's recover by bending at the hip, while others fall due to the only ankle movement.
