Hiromasa Ide was born in 1941 and graduated from Waseda University in 1965.

 

Ide started his career as a lyricist in 1973. He wrote many hit songs such as [Sukimakaze] ("A Draught"), "Song For Tomorrow" and "Spring in Northern Country".

 

Above all, "Spring in Northern Country" which was composed by Minoru Endoh became a record-high hit throughout East Asian countries.

 

Presently, Mr. Ide assumes an important role as Managing Director of both MEMF, Minoru Endoh Music Foundation and Japan Popular Music Culture Association.
