Welcome to the biggest musical event in Asia today.

The Asia Song Festival Philippines '98 is a historic landmark in the life of KATHA. Not only because it falls on the 10th anniversary of KATHA as an organization, but more importantly because this song festival takes part in the celebration of the 100th year of Philippine Independence.

It is with our forefather's legacy of independence that our culture has flourished and our music has reached the heights of creativity. It is through this legacy that we have learned to cherish our own creations and share it to our children. It is in this legacy that we have learned to soar beyond the boundaries of our nation and reach out to our Asian brothers through our music.

To our forefathers, thank you for the precious legacy of independence. To our Asian brothers and sisters, welcome to our country. And to all of KATHA's friends and supporters, may God bless us all.

Mabuhay and Musikang Pilipino.
