ABSTRACT
Remarkably seawater pollution is in progress in the inner side of the enclosed bay. like Tokyo Bay or Osaka Bay which facing to large cities. Because sewage water and agricultual wastewater flow into and nutrients elute from sea-bottom mud. Then Seawater pollution levels have been higher than the self-purification levels. To improve or preserve the seawater qualities in these bays. construction works for seawater purification have been executed. But those works have been done slowly.At the stage of plan and design for projects, their effects have to he evaluated. And after they have been done, their environmental effects are checked by observation works. However,each result of those evaluations is not satisfactorily, because we have not so much knowledges and so many experiences about the evaluation method. In this paper. seawater purification works are classified and evaluation methods are studied. In addition to those methods, which evaluate their effects by comparing the quality values of specimens with the standard values of seawater. biodiversity coefficient is applied.It is necessary for us to see total eco-system on the evaluation and to consider the intention of human habitant. The major development about these kinds of study will be proceeded, and also worldwide cooperate researches will be desired.
