ABSTRACT
Ice sheets in rivers, lakes, lagoons, dam lakes, and inside of the fishing harbors in cold regions are frozen in winter. And they are used for a variety of purposes. For example, ice sheets in such regions have been used for such purposes as supports for bearing of construction machines, as sports and recreation for fishing, skating , snowmobiles, and car races , and as traffic routes for runways , ice tracks , and ice platforms. However, an increasing number of accidents which ice sheets broke and dropped into the water, have been reported as the use of frozen ice sheets has become popular. Using ice sheets, it is important to estimate the bearing capacity of an infinite ice sheet in order to ensure their safety. In this study,
1) we show in charts and graphs the estimated bearing capacity of ice sheets oftained by the deflection of ice sheets per unit load.
2) the bearing capacity of an infinite ice sheets was compared with the bearing capacity of an ice sheets with a circuler hole.
3) the bearing capacity of an infinite ice sheets was compared with the bearing capacity of a semi- infinite ice sheets.
4) we invesigated the influence of the intervals between holes on the bearing capacity when ice sheets have more than one hole.
5) we make an experiment under the condition of long - term loads, and compared with the values of experiments which Panfilov and Assure made.
