ABSTRACT
Lack of construction workers is serious problem at caisson yard. Fabrication of the caissons needs many workers for arrangement of steel bars, frame work, concrete casting,etc. New technologies:mesh reinforced bars, panel method, high flowability concrete are proposed to cope with the social problem. In this report,mechanical properties as to mesh reinforcement and panel method are introduced. The mesh reinforcement by spot welding has less fatigue strength rather than ordinary reinforcement and the design method of the welded mesh reinforcement is discussed. The panel method by reinforced concrete plate or composite plate has joint parts. Strength and durability of this part is confirmed by indoor loading test and concrete casting test.
