Promoting the SYLFF Network
Mission Statement of the SYLFF Network
The purpose of the SYLFF network is to encourage and support local and international interaction among SYLFF fellows and programs in a manner consistent with the SYLFF vision and mission.
Israel Banegas
SYLFF Fellow at El Colegio de México
President, Provisional SYLFF Fellows Council
The strength of our community resides in the SYLFF fellows. They are leaders in their communities and in their professions. The possibilities for working together for the betterment of our world are endless. The key to success is reaching out and motivating fellows to learn about and from each other.
Jeanne Lee
SYLFF Fellow at Columbia University
President, SYLFF Fellows Council
Our challenge today is to build and reinforce ties between the individual and the community. It is a rare privilege to be a part of the SYLFF network. That network helps foster an authentic community that upholds the spirit of human respect, serious dialog, and sustained sensitivity to the needs of others.
The Provisional SYLFF Fellows Council convened in Portland, Oregon, in May 2005.
