「あれをやっておいてよかった」と言える

100歳をむかえたい

　

When I get to be 100, I hope I'll still be able to say,

'I'm glad I did it 'instead of 'I wish I had done it'

　

人の世を脱れて人の世を知り、

骨肉と離れて愛を信じ、

明を失っては内にひらく青山白雲をも見た。

癩はまた天啓でもあった

　

I only learned to understand the human world as I parted from it.

I came to trust in a love which exists apart from the bonds of flesh.

Going blind, my eyes were opend to visions of green mountins

and white couds.

Leprosy was also a divine revelation

　

生きるというのは大変なことです。

でも与えられた機会を最大限に利用して

持てる限りの能力を使って最善を尽くせば

どんなに困難な人生でも、

幸せな人生にすることができると思っています

　

Life is full of difficulties.

If we can make the most of opportunities,

fully used the resources we have and try our best to work for a better,

I believe the difficult life can become a happy life
