Introdution
First epidemiological survey of parasitic diseases in Central African Republique have been done in 1975, and after the first visit, parasitological surveys were doing once or twice per year until now. The survey in this year was executed on September of 2002 with 3 members of Tsuji, Shimoda & Ishida, after the discussion with Mr. Takabe who is the Japanese Ambassador in Bangui and Dr. Yaya who is our counterpart, and also close contact with the Secretary of the Affican Visit Delegation of Nippon Foundation. There were still exist some political trouble in Ouango District near the Capital Bangui City, then surveys of examination and treatment have been done at the Kella・Sergent Village in Bouar Area of Savanna Zone mainly and also M'Banza Village in M'Baiki Area of Jungle Zone. A total of 200 inhabitants at Kella・Sergent Village were examined for 3 days, and total of 72 inhabitants at M'Banza Villege were examined in one day, as usual.
After finished the survey, Tsuji remained in Bangui and companied with the African Visit Delegation of Nippon Foundation during the delegation staying in Central African Republique. Mrs. Sono who is the chairperson of this delegation and other members of the Nippon Foundation Delegation were kind visit to Kella・Sergent Village even their schedule was very tight, and help to the administration of treatment for parasitic patients. All the inhabitants of this village were delighted, and demand the continuation on the cooperation of our project in the future.
