New Concept Main Switchboard And Group Starter Panel
 Terasaki Electric Co., Ltd. has been committed to R&D activities in pursuit of greater reliability and higher quality in power distribution systems required aboard ships of the 21st century. The main switchboard MS21 and the group starter panel GS21, embodying new concepts in the respective product lines, are fruits of the company's untiring R&D efforts.
1.1 Features of New Products
(1) MS21
 The new concept switchboard MS21 is more compact, safe and reliable than Terasaki's earlier products of the same line. Compared with the 1,900 mm width of three generator board panels constituting the latest model available from the company, MS21 is only 1,350 mm wide without sacrificing mechanical strength and maintenance ease. The feeder panel is reduced in minimum panel width from 600 mm to 550 mm.
 The generator panel has a structure conforming to Form 4a prescribed by IEC Pub. 60439.1 to prevent any internal trouble from expanding. This feature further adds to the safety and reliability of the switchboard.
 The design of the panel face represents a complete departure from the earlier pattern. Individual switches and indicator lamps are dispensed with in the control section for automation, and sheet switches with LED indicators are used instead to give an impression of touch keys.
(2) GS21
 The new concept group starter board GS21, like the new switchboard, is more compact, safe and reliable than Terasaki's earlier products of the same line. The overall compactness of the GS21 board has been realized by altering the width and height of the smallest starter unit from 350 mm and 240 mm, respectively, in the company's latest available product, to 450 mm and 125 mm. Like the MS 21 switchboard, GS21 is upgraded to Form 4a from Form 3a of the earlier model to prevent the expansion of any trouble that may arise within. This further enhances the safety and reliability of the starter board.
 The design of the panel face is streamlined by integrating the control section and ammeters. The control section, like that of the switchboard, uses sheet switches to give an impression of touch keys.

 The basic specifications of the main switchboard and the group starter board are listed in the accompanying table.
