My Dear Hisanaga San

　Thank you very much for your kind letter. The information required about Laryngectomee Club of India and Annual Report of the Club for the year 2000 are enclosed for your kind information and perusal.

　

　We are looking forward eagerly to meet you at Beijing at the Steering & Standing Committee Meetings on May 11th & 12th. I shall be reaching Beijing on May 10 or forenoon of 11th & stay up to 13th till the sight-seeing is over.

　

　As you are aware India is a big country with a population of one billion people. It is once again emphasized and requested that there should be two members on the Standing Committee from India. We should get a replacement of Prof. Hirnandani who resigned from AFLA several years ago. It would be in the fitness of things that there should be one ENT and Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon and the other a Laryngectomee. Therefore, we from India propose to include the name of Mr. Premanand, our most energetic & enthusiastic member, past President & present Secretary General of the Laryngectomee Club of India. We hope you will accord your kind approval to this long Pending proposal.

　

　We also want to send more Laryngectomees for training from different States of India to Tokyo to set up a nucleous in those areas for Laryngectomees rehabilitation. Besides, we want to have your instructors, preferably well conversant with English, for a longer period of at least two weeks in November, 2001 when the weather in India is wonderful as we need one week in Delhi, three days in each of other two or three centres by rotation.
