富岳太鼓障害者チーム
冨岳太鼓は、日本一の霊峰富士の麓、静岡県御殿場市に所在します。設立のきっかけは、1977年、社会福祉法人富岳会の理事長山内令子氏が、法人の施設を利用する知的障害者のセラピーとして、和太鼓に着目したことから始まりました。
富岳太鼓は魂を揺さぶる「響き」、鼓動と同調する命の「リズム」、感情を全身で表現する「躍動」、共に演奏する「喜び」など、打てば響く太鼓の持つ多くの秘めたる可能性を、独自に開発した和太鼓療育プログラムに効果的に取り入れ実践しています。そしてその効果は、心身多面に現れ、今では障害者のリハビリテーションや社会自立のトレーニングとしては勿論のこと、障害者の文化・芸術活動にまで広がりをみせ、広く海外からも注目を集めています。
Fugaku Taiko - Handicapped Persons Team
"Fugaku" is another name of Mt. Fuji. This team is formed by mentally handicapped persons associated with Fugaku-kai, a nonprofit social welfare institution situated at the foot of beautiful Mt. Fuji.
In 1977, Reiko Yamauchi, President of Fugaku-kai adopted music therapy using Taiko for the purpose to foster recovery and to promote healthy lifestyle of handicapped persons.
Taiko therapy introduced by Fugaku-kai is instrumental in the rehabilitation of the handicapped persons. The therapy provides the opportunities to concentrate and to express themselves. Participation in community activities through Taiko performances gives them confidence.
Taiko also open the ways for other cultural activities such as painting and pottery.
