Smuggling into Japan by using vessels includes the following modus operandi:
(a) Direct illegal immigration by Chinese fishing boats chartered for immigrant smuggling;
(b) Illegal immigration by transferring from Chinese vessels, for example, to Japanese vessels off the coast of Japan;
(c) Illegal immigration by transferring from Chinese vessels, for example, to Korean fishing boats of the coast of Korea;
(d) Illegal immigration by cargo ships and others, which have specially designed hidden compartments inside, and concealment in containers.
