Thank you for your letter of 28 January 2000 enclosing a copy of two International Standards developed by ISO at the request of the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) of IMO at its sixty-fifth session.
Please be advised that the two Standards, i.e.:
- ISO 15401: 2000 Ships and marine technology - Bulk carriers - Construction quality of hull structure; and
- ISO 15402: 2000 Ships and marine technology - Bulk carriers - Repair quality of hull structure
will be brought to the attention of the seventy-second session of the MSC under cover of an information paper submitted by the Chairman of ISO/TC8 on behalf of ISO.
