彼によると、米国で、海洋機器関連ベンチャー企業の集まっている地域は、Scripps Institution of Oceanographyのあるカリフォルニア州サンディエゴ近辺、石油開発関連の本拠地であるメキシコ湾周辺、そしてこのFalmouth地区の3カ所であるが、この地区の密度が最も濃く、ざっと考えただけでも15社ほどが周りにあるとのことだった。
