コンポージアムとは
WHAT'S COMPOSIUM
コンポジション+シンポージアム(シンポジウム)=コンポージアムは、新しい音楽の創造を奨励する武満徹作曲賞の本選演奏会を含む、東京オペラシティの同時代音楽フェスティバルです。コンポージアム1999では、本年度の作曲賞審査員としてご参加くださるルチアーノ・ベリオ氏の創造の世界をご紹介するとともに、芸術監督・武満徹(1930.10.8-1996.2.20)が、同時代音楽の解釈者として信頼を寄せていた、世界的に傑出した演奏家たちが登場します。私たちは、このフェスティバルで「むずかしい」現代音楽からの脱皮を試みたいと考えています。みなさまも東京オペラシティで「現代音楽は楽しい。いっしょに同時代」を体験していただければ幸いです。
"Composition" plus "Symposium" equals "Composium", the contemporary music festival of Tokyo Opera City. Composium 1999 includes the final selection concert for the Tour Takemitsu Composition Award, a competition set up to encourage the creation of new musical works ; an introduction to the creative world of Luciano Berio, judge for this year's Composition Award ; and the appearance on our stage of several world-renowned performers on whom our Artistic Director, Toru Takemitsu (10/8/1930-2/20/1996), relied as interpreters of contemporary music. At this festival, we would like to try to break free from the image of contemporary music as something hard to understand or appreciate. We hope everyone will come and experience with us the light-hearted enjoyment of contemporary music at Tokyo Opera City.
