Resolution 176
ISO/TC8 appoints the following members to the Drafting Committee: Mr. Hopkins (USA), Mr. Molstrand (Denmark), and Mr. Ogo (TC8 secretariat)
Resolution 177
Following ISO Technical Management Board Resolution 61/1999 ISO/TC8 establishes its SC 11 with the following title and scope
Title : Intermodal and short sea shipping
Scope : "Standardization of general issues; principal requirements; design, construction and operation of ships and equipment; and technology for intermodal, including ship/port interface and other modes of transportation, and short sea shipping (SSS)"
Resolution 178
ISO/TC8 accepts the nomination of Mr. Liviu CRUDU and ISO/TC8 appoints Mr. Liviu CRUDU as new Chairman of SC 11 from October 21st 1999 for a period of Six years.
Resolution 179
ISO/TC8 accepts the nomination of Mr. Christian BREINHOLT and ISO/TC8 appoints Mr. Christian BREINHOLT as new Chairman of SC 5 from January 1st 2000 for a period of Six years.
Resolution 180
ISO/TC8 takes note of document TC8 N 936 that provides the ISO Central Secretariat report on TC8 and observes that it contains errors and inconsistencies. The TC8 Secretariat is requested to review document TC8 N 936 and identify any corrections that are required to the ISO Central Secretariat.
Resolution 181
ISO/TC8 takes note of the report of TC8/SC3 on piping and machinery and concurs in the procedure used by TC8/SC3 proposing new target dates for late work items to the TC8 secretariat as shown in document TC8 N 938. Other TC8 subcommittees are encouraged to follow this example when proposing new target dates for late work items to the TC8 secretariat.
Resolution 182
ISO/TC8 agrees that TC8 subcommittees should report the results of periodic reviews of published standards directly to the ISO Central Secretariat and that copies of such reports should be sent to the TC8 secretariat.
Resolution 183
ISO/TC8 received the report of the Secretariat on the status of TC8 given in Document ISO/TC8 N 1000 R4 and noted that corrections will be required to include changes resulting from recent developments.
TC8 subcommittee secretariats are requested to provide proposed corrections and other changes to the TC8 secretariat.
Resolution 184
ISO/TC8 noted inconsistencies in ISO/TC8 N 1000 R4 in regard to the identification of possible new work items in each subcommittee.
It was agreed that possible new work items should be identified for each subcommittee under the following headline "Possible proposals for new work items."
