STENA AKARITA Converted into Shuttle Tanker
After conversion, STENA AKARITA was born again from a tanker to shuttle tanker by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
New installation works were carried out as follows.
1. Bow loading system includes winches, hydraulic system, telemetry system, VHF and CCTV.
2. Dynamic positioning system includes two (2) bow thrusters, one (1) stern thruster, and controllable pitch propeller.
3. Two (2) diesel generators with high-voltage transformer in engine room
4. Center bulkhead in all cargo tanks at charterer's request.
5. Helicopter deck
6. Emergency towing system. After conversion she is in service at the North Sea.
