The 6,000-unit type pure car carrier AQUARIUS LEADER was built at Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd. and delivered to Hercules Shipholding S.A. in March 1998.
Features
The vessel has twelve (12) car decks including five (5) liftable ones for stowing large-sized vehicles such as buses, trucks, trailers, etc.
The vessel has one (1) set of stern ramp in the aft part and two (2) sets of side ramps on both sides of the midship part operated by hydraulic winch and hydraulic cylinder. The maximum design load of the stern ramp is 150t gross weight for heavy cars. One (1) set of table lifter of 50t gross weight for heavy cargo is equipped. An electric motor driven bow thruster of 1,500 kW is equipped.
