NEW VANGUARD 300,058-dwt VLCC
The 300,058-dwt VLCC NEW VANGUARD was constructed at Ariake Works of Hitachi Zosen and delivered to the owner, Golden Seaway Corporation, on March 31, 1998.
Features
1. This is the first vessel of Hitachi's new VLCC which fulfills two orders, namely 260,000 dwt for East Asia trades (mainly Japan) at the designed draft and 298,500 dwt for European and USA trades at the max. draft as well. Moreover cargo tank capacity of approx. 2.1 million barrels at 98% basis exceeds the general requirement of 2 million barrels for VLCCs. Thus the vessel can be employed in both trades and greatly enhances the operational flexibility.
