SEABIRD 60-m Wavepiercer Car Ferry
The 60-meter wavepiercer car ferry SEABIRD was built at Kanagawa Works of Hitachi Zosen Corporation and delivered to its joint owners, Corporation for Advanced Transport & Technology and Yasuda Ocean Vessel Corporation in March, 1997.
This 60-m wavepiercer was developed for Japanese existent wharves and offshore ramps by Hitachi Zosen cooperating with Incat Designs. The special features of this vessel are high-speed performance and excellent seakeeping ability by wave piercing hull form.
In addition, the ride control system consisting of T-foils and trim-tabs provides comfortable ride.
