KIN-IN 1 & 2, High-Speed Catamarans Made of Aluminum Alloy

The passenger ships KIN-IN 1 & 2 are high-speed catamarans made of aluminum alloy built at the Shimonoseki Shipyard & Machinery Works of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) and delivered to the owner in February and March 1996 respectively.

The special features of these vessels include a stable high-speed navigation capability made possible by the fitting of anti-pitching fins to the catamaran hulls and such equipment as boarding ramps for passengers that give thoughtful consideration to be "human-friendly ships".
