6. Regional card system

 

A system whereby information on health and medical treatment is managed by one card. The magnetic or IC card would also serve as an identification card.

 

7. Lifelong learning support information system

 

A system offering information on lecturers, instructors, study opportunities, audio-visual aids, and circle groups by connecting data processing equipment in lifelong learning centers or related departments with lifelong learning facilities around the country but excluding systems where information is simply accumulated and inquiries are answered by telephone.

 

8. School education support information system

 

A system offering teaching materials, theses or other information to support educational activities by connecting a host computer in a main educational center or government office building with data processing equipment in schools through the use of telecommunication lines.

 

9. Health and medical treatment information system

 

A system whereby the data processing equipment of several health care and treatment institutions is connected by telecommunication lines to manage the disbursement of medical expenses, statistical information and patient registration, in addition to offering information on the surveillance of tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.

 

10. Emergency medical services information system

 

A system whereby information is collected on bed availability in designated emergency medical service organizations and is provided to ire defense headquarters or other related organizations by information network equipment.
