ICCAS '97
9th International Conference on Computer Applications in Shipbuilding
GREETINGS
Dear Colleagues:
I cordially welcome you, your colleagues and family to ICCAS '97 Yokohama.
ICCAS '97 Yokohama has at last convened, thanks to the combined efforts of committee members and other participants. The conference features 81 papers, including three invited papers, from 18 countries and an exhibition. ICCAS '97 Yokohama stands as a forum for the exchange of achievements and ideas regarding the latest shipbuilding information technology.
1997 marks the centennial of the Society of Naval Architects of Japan and it is a great pleasure for me to host ICCAS '97 in this memorable year.
October is one of Japan's best seasons, and altogether I consider it an excellent opportunity for all in attendance to gain an insight to shipbuilding of the coming century in a most friendly atmosphere.
Enjoy conference!
Sincerely,
Koichiro Yoshida, Dr. Engineering
Professor, University of Tokyo
President of the Society of Naval Architects of Japan
