b. The Committee for earthquake prediction With regard to the importance of earthquake prediction, the Committee for earthquake prediction is installed in the National Geographic Authority and specializes in different sorts of surveys. Information on earthquakes offered by national survey organizations or universities, all of which contribute to the specialised decisions, are exchanged. Meetings of the Committee are held four times per year, and the content of the discussions is made public in a press conference given by the President.
The Committee publishes its Report twice a year.

 

(ii) The Network of earthquake observation
365 days per year, a nation-wide Network of earthquake observation is at work at survey points monitored by the Science and Technology Agency, the Meteorology Agency, the National Geographic Authority and universities.
The results of these surveys are stocked for a long time andevaluated by the Committee or the Head office as important data for the implementation of measures againstearthquakes.
