助六太鼓保存会

助六太鼓は、東京の湯島に古くから残されていた太鼓を継承しようと1959年に「大江戸助六太鼓」という盆踊りの太鼓として発足しました。その後、古い物を生かしつつ現代的にアレンジした太鼓を目指して切磋琢磨した結果、数多くのレパートリーが生まれてきました。その中から「センス・バランス・特殊なアイデア」を加えて完成されたのが、現在の助六太鼓です。最も粋な太鼓といわれています。

SUKEROKU TAIKO

SUKEROKU TAIKO which existed for years in Yushima District of Tokyo was revived in 1959 as TAIKO for Bon-Odori to be performed every summer under the name of OEDO SUKEROKU TAIKO. Since then, it has aimed for the contemporary TAIKO arrangements with due respect to the tradition. Numerous new arrangements were consolidated with the emphasis on musical sensitivity, balance and unique skills to arrive at the present day SUKEROKU TAIKO. It is considered to be the most sophisticated style of TAIKO.
