42 paragraph 1, an application for change of rating on competence certification under Article 57 or an application for instrument rating or an application for flight instructor rating under Article 64 and other necessary matters.
2. When he has accepted an application for competence certification under Article 42 paragraph 1, an application for change of rating on competence certification under Article 57 an application for instrument rating or an application for flight instructor rating under Article 64, the Minister of Transport notifies an applicant of details and other necessary matters relating to an examination under Article 29 paragraph 1 of the Law (including the case applied accordingly to Article 29-(2) paragraph 2 of the Law of Article 34 paragraph 3 of the Law).
(Subjects, etc. of Examination)
Article 46. An examination under Article 29 paragraph 1 of the Law (including the case applied accordingly to Article 29-(2) paragraph 2 of the Law or Article 34 paragraph 3 of the Law) is conducted on the subjects as listed in the attached Table No. 3. However, it is not conducted on the subjects of a practical examination which the Minister of Transport deems unnecessary with respect to the strength, construction and performance of aircraft to be used for a practical examination.
Article 46-(2). The Minister of Transport may, conduct a practical examination on the subjects as listed in the attached Table No. 3, by using a flight simulator for all or part of an examination.
(Notice of Pass in Theoretical Examination)
Article 47. The Minister of Transport notifies any person who has passed a theoretical examination, or has obtained a passing mark for a part of the subjects in the theoretical examination to that effect in written form.
(Exemption from Examination)
Article 48. Any person who after passing a theoretical examination makes, an application for competence certification for the same qualification as the one which he has obtained, and for the aircraft of the same category, or makes an application for instrument rating or flight instructor rating, is exempted from the theoretical examination to be held within a two year period from the date of notice under the preceding Article upon application.
Article 48-(2). Any person who has taken a theoretical examination on all subjects and has obtained a passing mark for a part of the subjects is, when he makes an application for competence certification for the same qualification as the one relating to the said theoretical examination, exempted from only the theoretical examination to be held within a period of one year from the date of notice under
